Surrealism

When planning for the photoshoot, I knew I would need two pictures with the same light tone.  This is because the picture I took of the body should be the same as the arms so the picture would look more realistic.  I first took the image of the body with toilet paper rolls in her pockets to make a budge. Then I asked the model to put her arms on the plain wall so adding them into the body picture in Photoshop it would be easier.
Because I planned the photoshoot ahead of time, I knew exactly what I had to do. The only thing I changed was adding jewellery to the fingers to add a bit more colour to the image.
When looking at my surreal photograph at first I felt freaked out. The image seems like someone is trapped and reaching for help.  To me, it’s better to get a reaction from a photograph instead of “I like it...”.  Others should get same reaction and then hopefully like the idea.
