Chiaroscuro

Model: Michelle C.
^ Original By: Diego Velazquez

Brief Summary
After testing a few light levels (brightness), I used one key light on brightest mode. The key light was placed not too far to the subject but far enough so it added the distant soft lighting look. At first I was going to use a second lighting set up but comparing to the original painting, I felt only one light was necessary.
I wanted to place the light at the best angle to match the shadows in the painting, specifically on the models face and folds in the shirt. The light was level with the camera and placed about 45 degrees from the subject.
P.s. Thanks Michelle for modelling
